There are a lot of things I miss about Louisiana...one of them is Mardi Gras! I miss eating tons of King Cake, listening to "Mardi Gras Mambo" and going to parades and fighting over beads (that costs probably .10/each)...it's fun. I'm Baptist and Mardi Gras is really a Catholic holiday, but when you live in Louisiana, you celebrate Mardi Gras as it's your own. Our friends Liane and Trent have a Mardi Gras party every year and we get a little taste of home for just a little while.
